An Introduction to Eulogia

Eulogia (etymologically from Greek, literally means “a blessing”) is a form of speech which prevails where the speaker pronounces a blessing upon a person for the goodness of his/her personality.

Classic Example
  • Then the men of Judah came and there anointed David king over the house of Judah. And they told David, saying, “It was the men of Jabesh-gilead who buried Saul.” And then, David sent messengers to the men of Jabesh-gilead, and said to them, “May you be blessed of the LORD because you have shown this kindness to Saul your lord, and have buried him.” — (2 Sam. 2:4 – 5.)
